The University of Kentucky Forensics team has been awarded a nationally competitive grant from the forensics honorary Pi Kappa Delta. The grant project will fund the development of instructional materials that will become part of a national resource database for new coaches and teams. Over the next few weeks, members of the UK Forensics team will be hard at work recording videos of sample speeches that illustrate successful techniques and strategies for several public speaking events.
“We’re incredibly appreciative of this opportunity from Pi Kappa Delta” says Director Timothy Bill. “This grant not only allows us to showcase our students’ hard work over the past couple of years, but it also allows us to contribute to a resource that will help other new teams get started for years to come.” The finished materials including the sample videos will be posted to the Pi Kappa Delta website (www.pikappadelta.com) later this year. For more information about this grant or the forensics team generally, please contact Timothy Bill at firstname.lastname@example.org.
